While in Santa Fe for a conference last February, I took a drive through the desert on the High Road to Taos, stopping at the famous Chimayo mission and shrine, as well as catching some good views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We went skiing at the Santa Fe Ski Area, and the view to the southwest was extraordinary, as I hope the pictures might imply (I doubt they do the view justice). Finally, I took a morning to walk around Santa Fe itself and capture some impressions.
