Taken while driving from Carmel-by-the-Sea to San Simeon on the Pacific Coast Highway, on a beautiful day in March. At Big Sur, we stopped in the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, and I hiked a trail to the top of a small mountain, to a place called Buzzards' Roost, where I was able to get some good views of the much taller nearby mountains. This country is incredibly beautiful.
