St. Augustine, FL, is the nation's oldest city, having been founded in 1565. It is also where my mother's family has lived since the very early 1900s. The old fortress seen here is the Castillo de San Marcos, built in the late 1600s, and the church is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Augustine, built in the late 1700s.
